Can't wait to visit again - this was my second time, although Rosie has visited a lot more than me. We saw three deer on our first night. Molly and Diesel (our dogs) had great walks on the beach. I would like to thank our landlady Leigh - and Mac - for making us feel so welcome.

(P.S 1000 times better than a tent!!!) XXXXXXX

Yet another brilliant stay (our 3rd so far). A peaceful weekend [apart from the fun of the Race Night :-) !!] + lots of wildlife - including our first sight of the infamous badger. Thanks.

A great place to unwind. Lodge cosy and comfortable - so peaceful. Badger put in an appearance. The weather more like July than April - so hot - it enabled us to walk and golf to our hearts content. Fab.

Only been here 2 days and it feels like a week! Even the rain/hail/snow/gales didn't spoil it - and the boys even caught a fish or two...

Beef dog meat best for badgers and WILDcats. Mulberries in Kirkcudbright great for lunches. Red kites around Loch Ken. Nuthatches out the back on feeders. Listen for red squirrels chattering at the end of the garden - if you are quiet & patient.

Well equipped, cosy lodge really enjoyed our stay. Minced beef also good for squirrels too.

The people in the area are very welcoming, people who you do not know will wave and if you go to the shop expect to do more than pick up supplies.
The Golf course is a challenge and well maintained, again the locals will invite you into thier conversations.
As for the lodge and the people who own it enough cannot be said in their favour, we recommend you go and see for yourselves.
